My Story

A more personal approach to women's health

Hi, I'm Nancy Daley, APRN, FNP-C.

I've spent my career caring for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. My journey took me from emergency nursing to serving as a fire rescue lieutenant and eventually becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Through every chapter, one belief has remained constant: people deserve to be heard, their concerns taken seriously, and their care individualized.

That belief became deeply personal during my own experience with perimenopause.

My symptoms were treated with antidepressants rather than a deeper evaluation of what might be contributing to them. Heavy bleeding eventually led to a hysterectomy, and almost overnight, I gained 20 pounds. When I began hormone therapy, the weight didn't budge. The advice I received was to do more cardio.

I sought answers from multiple practitioners, but too often, I left feeling that my concerns hadn't been fully understood.

I know what it feels like to recognize that something isn't right in your body and struggle to find someone who will look beyond the obvious. That experience helped shape the kind of provider I strive to be.

Why women's midlife health matters to me

I began my nurse practitioner career in geriatric primary care, where I saw how aging, menopause, chronic disease, and gaps in preventive care could affect women's health, independence, and quality of life.

As I learned more about hormone therapy and the evolving science of women's midlife health, I became passionate about helping women understand their options and make informed decisions about their care.

Today, that passion is at the heart of Essential Care & Wellness.

I work with women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and the years beyond—women experiencing changes in energy, sleep, mood, weight, libido, or vaginal comfort. I believe these concerns deserve thoughtful evaluation rather than being automatically dismissed as an inevitable part of aging.

Care that considers the whole person

Hormones are an important part of the conversation, but they aren't the whole story. Metabolic health, thyroid function, sleep, medical history, and other factors can influence how you feel.

My approach combines clinical experience, current evidence, and your individual health goals to help determine which options may be appropriate for you.

My services include women's and men's hormone care, medical weight management, sexual wellness, thyroid care, and selected functional medicine and longevity evaluations. I also interpret DEXA bone-density scans and teach continuing education courses for clinicians.

Through secure telehealth, I care for patients in Florida and other states where I am licensed.

Beyond the clinic

Outside of work, I'm a mom of five, a stepmom of three, and a grandmother of ten. I want to remain strong, sharp, energetic, and fully present for the people I love. That desire shapes how I think about health, too.

It's not simply about adding years to life. It's about protecting the quality of those years.

I want my patients to feel comfortable asking questions, confident in their decisions, and supported in pursuing the health and quality of life they want.

You deserve to be listened to. You deserve thoughtful, evidence-based care. And you deserve a provider who sees more than your age or your symptoms.

You aren't too old, and it isn't too late to start feeling better.

Welcome to Essential Care & Wellness.

Your health. Your story. Your next chapter.
